Top online tools and services available for free (or at a discount) to registered nonprofits

We at Impaque have a soft spot for nonprofit organizations. We believe that technology can empower changemakers to run their operations more efficiently and to tell their story in a more impactful way.

Many of the world’s top technology companies have generously decided to give their premium products for free to registered nonprofits! Here we’ve compiled a list of some of the best online tools and services that we think are worth exploring. We’ll be updating this list as we learn of more useful resources, so please let us know if there is anything you are aware of that we may have missed.

We won’t go into detail on what each tool does, but feel free to reach out to us to help you evaluate these tools and which may be the right ones for your organization.

Before we jump into the list, if you are not already a member of TechSoup, please consider signing up! They have global presence and the organization’s main aim is to make software more accessible to nonprofits around the world. Check them out at https://techsoup.org/. It’s also worth registering with Goodstack, which is now the eligibility-verification partner behind a growing number of these programs (including Google and Microsoft) — getting verified once unlocks applications across many vendors.

The list below is organized into 3 different categories - 1. Free, 2. Discounted, and 3. Tools for specific industries and use cases.

Last reviewed and updated: August 2026. Nonprofit programs change often — always confirm the current terms on the vendor’s own page before you plan around them.

1. Free

These tools are available completely for free to registered nonprofit organizations from around the world!

Microsoft 365 for Nonprofits

A global leader in enterprise software, Microsoft is a familiar name to just about anyone. Through their nonprofit program they offer Microsoft 365 Business Basic free for up to 300 users.

Google for Nonprofits

Another global leader in the enterprise software space, Google’s nonprofit program is also extremely generous. Eligible organizations get Google Workspace Business Starter free.

If you need more — bigger storage pools, longer Meet recordings, more admin controls — Business Standard and Business Plus are available to nonprofits at roughly 80% off rather than free.

Canva Pro

Canva is a powerful yet easy to use online design tool. You can use it to design anything from social media share graphics, to posters, flyers, annual reports and much, much more! The nonprofit program gives you Canva’s premium plan free for up to 50 people, including brand kits and the AI-assisted tools (Magic Write, Background Remover, Magic Resize).

Slack Pro (for <250 people)

Slack is a popular tool for internal communication! They offer a generous free plan, however, if your organization is less than 250 people, you can get access to Slack’s Pro plan for free! Larger organizations, or anyone who needs Business+ features like SSO and compliance exports, get an 85% discount instead.

If you are already taking advantage of Microsoft 365 for Nonprofits, consider just using Teams instead for your internal communication needs. That way you can take advantage of the seamless integration with other Microsoft Tools (like Outlook, OneDrive, etc), and you will have one less tool to maintain in your organization’s technology stack.

Salesforce (10 free licenses)

Salesforce is one of the world’s most popular CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. Through the Power of Us program, eligible nonprofits still receive 10 free Enterprise Edition licenses, which you can use for contact management, donations, program tracking and more.

Worth knowing: new applicants are now provisioned onto Agentforce Nonprofit (the successor to Nonprofit Cloud) rather than the old NPSP-preconfigured org. The Nonprofit Success Pack itself hasn’t gone away — it’s still free and supported — but you now install the packages yourself on top of your Sales Cloud licenses.

Cloudflare Project Galileo (free)

If your website is a target — human rights, journalism, environmental advocacy, democracy work — Cloudflare gives you their enterprise-grade protection for free. That covers DDoS mitigation, WAF, bot management and, more recently, AI crawler controls. It’s one of the most valuable free offers on this list and one of the least known.

CyberPeace Builders (free)

The CyberPeace Institute matches nonprofits with volunteer cybersecurity professionals from major companies, who do free assessments and hands-on remediation work. If you don’t have anyone in-house who owns security, this is the closest thing to free expert help.

2. Discounted

These tools are available at a discount (some at a significant discount!) to registered nonprofit organizations from around the world!

Jotform Pro (50% discount)

Jotform (affiliate link) is a powerful online forms builder. Their forms can also be completed offline (and synced back to their systems when the device goes online next), which makes them ideal for data collection in the field which is so essential for many nonprofit organizations. Jotform has a great free plan, but if you need extra features, you can get their premium product at a 50% discount.

Buffer Pro (50% discount)

Buffer allows you to manage multiple social media accounts from a single tool. Incredibly useful if your organization has presence across multiple social media channels. They offer a limited free plan, and if you need more features you can sign up for their pro plan using the nonprofit discount.

Zoom (nonprofit discount)

Zoom is a global leader in video conferencing. They have a limited free account, but if you need extra features you can sign up for a paid plan and take advantage of their nonprofit discount. The discount level varies by product and region, so check both Zoom’s own nonprofit page and the TechSoup listing and take whichever is better.

If you are already taking advantage of Microsoft 365 for Nonprofits, consider just using Teams instead for your video conferencing needs (for free). Teams is very similar to Zoom so you won’t have to give up any essential features, and you can also take advantage of the seamless integration with other Microsoft Tools (like Outlook, OneDrive, etc). In addition, you’ll have one less tool to maintain in your organization’s technology stack.

Trello Premium (75% discount)

Trello is a popular, easy to use project management tool. They have a free plan, however if you need extra features you can take advantage of the nonprofit discount on their pro plan.

Asana Pro (50% discount)

Similar to Trello, this is another popular online tool you can use to manage your projects. They also offer a free plan with limited features, however if you need more functionality, you can sign up for their pro plan using the nonprofit discount.

Zapier Pro (15% discount)

Zapier is a global leader in online automation, allowing you to connect multiple online tools and to automate workflows so you don’t have to do them manually, potentially saving you a ton of time! They offer integrations with thousands of apps! Zapier has a limited free plan that may be a good starting point before you consider the pro version with the nonprofit discount.

Coda — now Superhuman Docs (applications paused)

One of our long-time favorites here at Impaque! Coda (affiliate link) is a platform that allows you to do anything from taking notes, to creating a CRM database, a project management tool, business intelligence dashboard, and much more.

Important change: Coda was acquired by Grammarly (now Superhuman) and became Superhuman Docs in 2026. New nonprofit and education discount applications are currently paused. If you already have the discount on your account it continues to apply, but new organizations can’t apply for it right now — worth checking back, and worth factoring into any decision to standardize on it.

Notion (50% discount)

In many ways similar to Coda, this is a flexible tool that you can use for notetaking, keeping track of various lists and databases, and more. Nonprofits get 50% off the team plan (around $4 per person per month), verified through TechSoup. With Coda’s program paused, this is currently the easier of the two to start on.

Airtable (50% discount)

Airtable sits between a spreadsheet and a database, and is a common choice for grant trackers, program data, beneficiary records and content calendars. Nonprofits get 50% off the Team plan.

Zoho (TechSoup credit + ongoing discount)

Zoho is an entire business suite — CRM, email, accounting, HR, help desk — at a fraction of the usual cost, which makes it a serious option if you want one vendor instead of ten. Through TechSoup, eligible nonprofits get a one-time US$5,000 credit that covers half the cost of a wide range of Zoho products, and registered charities get an ongoing discount on annual subscriptions.

HubSpot (40% discount)

If your work is heavier on marketing, donor communications and pipeline than on case management, HubSpot’s nonprofit program gives 40% off all paid plans across every hub. Note that eligibility is currently limited to organizations registered in North America, Australia and New Zealand.

DocuSign (nonprofit discount)

One of the global leaders in e-signatures, DocuSign is a great way to digitize official documents, contracts, etc by getting people to sign them online. DocuSign also has a limited free plan you can try before upgrading using the nonprofit discount, which is applied through their impact program.

Wix (70% discount for 2 years)

Wix is one of the web’s most popular website builders. They have a ton of templates you can use as a starting point for your website and adjust them to your organization’s needs.

MailChimp Pro (15% discount)

Mailchimp is an email marketing tool which allows you to keep track of your email list and to send professional emails - ideal for newsletters! They offer a good free plan, and if you need more features you can upgrade using the nonprofit discount.

MailerLite Pro (30% discount)

MailerLite is another email marketing platform, which is great for newsletters! Their free plan is very generous, but if you need additional features or your email list is larger than 1,000 contacts, you can upgrade using their nonprofit discount.

Cliniko (free)

Cliniko is a simple, intuitive and helpful tool to manage a healthcare practice. The tool includes anything from online booking of appointments, to doctor’s notes, patient files, product management, financial reports and more.

A note on how quickly this changes

The biggest lesson from updating this list is that “free forever” isn’t a thing. Microsoft withdrew the free Business Premium and E1 grants in 2025. Coda’s discount program is paused following its acquisition. Salesforce quietly changed what new applicants are provisioned onto. Programs get more generous too — Canva went from 20 seats to 50, Slack’s free Pro tier now covers up to 250 people.

Two practical implications: don’t build a critical workflow on a free tier without knowing what the paid price would be if it went away, and re-check your stack’s eligibility once a year.
